old threads

I have in the past revived old threads that are the same or very similar in topic as my post. It made me think, what is the preference of the owner and mods on this? Is there a cutoff on how old a thread is as related to revival or not? Or how close a post needs to be to the OP topic? Thanks!

Doesn't matter to me. If someone wants to revive a thread from 10 years ago because they want to discuss that topic again, what harm is there in that?
