No insult at all! I had the same reaction when I first got her. I was disappointed. I mean, I thought she was very pretty, but I didn't think she was going to end up being a very good blood specimen. I was quite a bit less "blood savvy" then. But I've learned that you just can't tell how a blood's going to turn out from looking at it as a hatchling.

You really can't tell how they'll turn out sometimes. Honestly, as a hatchling she doesn't even really look like a blood. I think that's one of the best examples of how a corn can change as it ages; especially from "oh just another snake" to "WOWZA!!".

Well you've inspired me; sent Rich an email, hopefully he'll have something along her lines.

Gorgeous lady! How long is she? Pretty long I think, being slender like that and weighing so much... though of course muscle weighs more than fat... hhhmmmm

Thanks Barbara. I have no idea how long she is. It's been a looong time since I've measured a snake for length-- so long that I can't even really give a reasonable estimate. My poor guess is that she's around four feet.

That sounds suitable for a 400 gram, slender but muscled snake
