I have two, as of yesterday with Jeni =)
1. My first one, kinda old; off-center back tat on my right hip. It's in need of some major touching up. I wasn't too happy with the place I got it done.... Great place for piercings but apparently not tattoos. Anyway, LMS is my mom, DMR is my aunt. Both survivors. My mom caught it in the very early stages and my aunt's was pretty advanced due to skipping her mammograms. My mom had a round of radiation and is now on meds to keep it at bay. My aunt, unfortunately, had to have a double mastectomy, two rounds of radiation, a good portion of her lymph nodes removed and is now on crazy expensive medication to keep it in remission. Now 5 years cancer free and the happiest person I know =)
2. This one was borderline spur of the moment, to tag along and cheer up my girl Jeni. I'm going to modify it at some point to say "Never Fear Love" along my hairline.

I adore tattoos! I've got -counts- 7-ish.
My arm:
Then we added to it. The banner says "C'est La Vie"
My back, in process. About 4 hours in so far. It will be full color soon
The one up high on my neck is the Black Furies tribe symbol from Werewolf the Apocalypse, the all female wolf tribe. Below is the the Thundercats insignia. Thundercats HOOOOO!
The one is a goofy cat called a "Meowclops," it's on my shoulder.
I don't pictures of the other. It's going to get covered up soon so don't worry about seeing it. XD

I never played Werewolf the Apocalypse, but I loved the idea and used much of it in my writing. I still have several of the books. And I have a tattoo of a wolf out of one of the books. No good pics of it, though.

Suzy - I love the thought behind all of them. It's wonderful. And the paws don't look bad in that picture? Maybe it's because the picture is bad. jk
Tracie - I LOOOOVE your mushroom. And can I tell you, when I read " my girl Jeni" I teared up? LOL... I'm such a silly ninny right now.

LOL - The picture is definitely bad. The color has faded tremendously, and in one spot, the artist screwed up. It's not too noticeable, but I'll point it out. It's the bottom left paw print in the picture, and it's the top toe. You can see the little line that extends from the toe. That's not supposed to be there.
I'm planning on eventually making a trip to North Carolina so I can get a tattoo done by this girl who I am online friends with. Her name is Ashley Love, and here is a sample of her work.
I don't know if she has a website (I couldn't find one) but I know she's on Myspace and Livejournal.

I have mixed feelings about them... for one I think that a single tattoo is a beautiful thing if it is done with taste and not too big( too many tattoos IMHO are not a pretty thing).
I can't shake the feeling though that there are better ways to express oneself rather than write/draw all over yourself.
Don't get me wrong- I respect people who do, honestly, I don't think negatively on them...
I for one thing that self expression is better made through words and writing, drawing, or just putting things of certain appeal to you in your home... the body naturally expresses who and what we are in the most primal and accurate way possible as far as I am concerned, I don't think mine needs help.
Beautiful art though, I can't argue there.

!!!!
I've been researching local tattoo artists and I know I've run across yours in someones portfolio. I can't remember where, what's the name of your artist? The moths are amazing!
Yeah, this thread has reminded me. I do want a tattoo, I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I wish I wasn't such a needle phobe. :/ If I wasn't terrified of needles, I'd totally get this as a tattoo.
Had way too much fun designing that.
