My corn is about 2 years old. He had a bad shed back on 4/23. He shed the first half of his body but then I had to soak him and rub the rest of him off. He has been fine but I notice when he curves his body his scales look wrinkled on the curve in side then when he straightens out his is all smooth again. Is this just due to him getting more girth and so his scales are bigger? Also I just changed his substrate to aspen from just cage carpet. He was too excited to say the least. How long does it take for a corn to get used to his new substrate and how will I know if he doesn't like it and I should switch back? Thanks for all the info.
He sheds every 8 weeks or so pretty consistantly. I have soaked him and looked to see if the scales are old but they look fine. It is only when he bends that the sides of him look like this.
