May Have Wasted My Money

Went to a monthly show here in St Louis as I have many times in the past few years. Only came home with something once and that was several years ago...

Well, today that changed. I picked up a little tiny Pewter male. The guy selling it was not the breeder and I've emailed the breeder to find out if there was a mistake with the hatching date of July/Aug 2017 I was given.... if that is correct...

Houston we have a problem...

Weighed him this evening when I got home and he weighs 8ozs! He's almost a year old and a lot of fuzzies are bigger than he is. I mentioned non-feeders and the guy didn't say he was one... I just don't know how he could be approx 8 months old and not put some weight on!

Letting him relax in a smaller container for now and I'll offer him food next weekend. I hope he will feed with no problem... It will be hard to resist power feeding him with him being so tiny

I'm assuming you mean 8 grams not 8 oz. I've got some from May/June that are barely over 12g still, thanks to picky eating and my lazy bones feeding schedule. Seems like a lot of stuff I've bought second-hand has also appeared to be smaller on average. Dunno. I would probably put him on a slightly more aggressive feed schedule for a while and see how he does, maybe feeding every 4 days.
