Awwww I'm loving this thread, your snakes are BEAUTIFUL! I so miss having babies, hopefully I'll have a couple clutches next year. Twins, how lucky can you get! Beautiful.

Thankyou! I lost my project clutch from my het christmas/diffused corns, simply due to not having the laybox in early enough. Which means I may well change my usual methods next year and keep better track of matings.
9 hatchlings so far including the twins and 4 pipping from the second clutch.
There has been a problem with my pinkie order, 500 out of which most are far too big for a first meal, so looks like I'll be offering heads instead after the first sheds and nothing at all small enough for the twins. I may have to just feed them something like a fuzzy tail the first couple of times if I can't find any reds

I breed a small colony of mice and just had another litter born, wish I could help.

I gave up on my happy mouse-farm, but in this sort of situation it would be so helpful! Now I have a dedicated herp room, that's another project I could look at starting up again. Over here it's not possible to buy live pinks at all, so starting hatchlings is much easier if you grow your own...

Christmas is here! (Het Christmas hypo)

Just sorted through my frozen pinks, the joy of breeding snakes! A good proportion of 1g, too many 2g and a few 3g. But absolutely wonderful to find 10 or so tiny reds in there for the twins!

Oh good, I need to separate my colony and start up another since my collection is growing. Trouble is keeping them cool enough, I have a house full of reptiles so it's pretty warm most of the time. Mice can do all kinds of horrible things if they get too hot and I simply don't have the space right now in my one air conditioned room.

2 of Sundance's have shed, fed without hesitation!

One of the twins has shed, and took a hot thawed red without any coaxing!

Kates clutch is all hatched (19), one more egg to go in Sundances (22 + 1 more to go). I should get at least a week before the next clutch starts to pip.

The het christmas babies are shedding now. I slit the last giant egg from Sundance, and found twins that didn't make it

Good and bad news today!
Good news, the twin that ate is currently eating pinkie number 2, and Annie's clutch is hatching with an anery het hypo/motley out already. It's a hateling that wants to kill me.
Bad news, the other twin is thin and dehydrated, despite having access to water its skin is in folds and it seems lethargic. It hasn't shed yet but it has pooped. I've put it in a water bath, but I'm not going to take special measures if it doesn't perk up.
I know this sounds harsh, but any babies that don't make the grade in health are either keepers because I can't bear to sell them, or euthanised. I only want healthy, well-started babies to sell or to keep as future breeders. I know I could syringe feed this little one but it has to be able to drink independently.

The twin that ate, BIG food lump from a tiny pink, and after looking at Annie's baby in better light without it trying to kill me, it's a ghost het motley
