NH frog invasion!

I was out hiking a few days ago with a guy I'm seeing (fellow herper, yay!) and we ended up having to wait as a bunch of tiny pickerel frogs hopped past us. I couldn't believe how many there were! They were only about an inch long and fast little buggers. We also saw a big northern water snake, but I wasn't able to get close enough for a photo before he got away. Maybe next time! I rarely see any herps up here, but I'll have my camera ready next time now that I know where a good spot is!

How cute! Frogs have always been one of my favorite critters.
