not so frozen mice

So on my way home from work yesterday, I decided to go pick up some food for my corn, 15 frozen fuzzys, however i forgot to take them out of my bag, until early this morning they were left out for roughly 13 hours. when i realized they weren't put in the freezer i threw them in, however there was no odd smells.
though this is going to be a case of better safe then sorry, It brings a question to mind. What are some more tell tale signs of mice gone bad?

Squishy and slimy and bad smelling, and burst open very easily.

A gross discolouring through the skin on the stomach - like the bile duct has released the green. Skin goes very grey tinted, no more red/pink look.

I would throw it away personally. If I left a steak sitting on the counter for 12 hours, it wouldn't be safe to re-freeze and certainly not to eat it. Bacteria can grow rapidly once the food begins to thaw.
