Can snakes get splinters from their bedding?

Taxidermy

everything under the sun.
I purchased this bedding for all three of my snakes. When i was spreading the bedding out with my hands i got numerous splinters. Is it possible the snakes will have the same happen to them or will their scales protect them.

I still use the bark on most of my larger animals but I always make sure to kinda 'sift' it before I use it to remove those tiny splinter like peices... the first snake I ever used it on was my burm and I realized what was happening After SHE gave me splinters.... I felt so bad. but since I can get rid of those little splinter peices it works great.

in my opinion that's just another reason not to use reptibark, but I guess sifting would work so that's fine. :shrugs:
