Yeah, these are pretty much no different from a rootbeer with 25% cornsnake in it, are they? That's why I never understood why a Kisatchie "creamsicle" is expected to look any different than other creams with extra cornsnake blood in them????? Not my thing, though.
Am I concerned about the risk these pose? I have more of a fear, but it is more of a "when" than an "if" with hybrids. They WILL eventually pollute the parent stock in captivity. The question is just how long. It was already started 5 years ago, I'm sad to say. However, I don't think it'll happen from these particular animals! I am very glad to be able to say that.
Don doesn't intend (his words) to sell any of these. I'm glad to say that he's been a big supporter of "keeping Kisatchie Cornsnakes pure" for the past 5 or 6 years. These are not a plan to develop a new morph - but just to test it for customers. I would have likely forgot he did it if he hadn't mentioned they were hatching. Don seems to be as worried about the negative effects of these double het aner crosses IF they ever get misrepresented (even if it takes 10 years to happen!) as I am.
He stated years ago (different forum) that he planned to only sale pure Kisatchie cornsnakes, so I don't think those that are concerned need to be worried about Don's actions. I'm not, and that should say a bunch.
