HELP- my corn got stuck on tape

I was using this medical blue paper towel thing for a temporary substrate, and it has a sticky piece of tape runnign down one end. I taped iit down, but my corn managed to crawl under it and got itself stuck down the entire length
What can i do?

You can use a cotton swab to apply vegetable oil to help with trying to remove the tape. Careful not to damage the scales.
