Attitude the baby

wstphal

working in the Gulag
I figured out how to load pics from my iPhone to Photobucket, so now let's see if I can figure out how to put them here...

These are a few not great shots of baby Attitude, who has quite the bad attitude. Tries to make out like s/he's a crotalid hatchling. Bites. Frequently. About 1/2 of the time I can handle this one without getting struck at, the other half I get got. Fortunately, the fangs are very tiny! :)

Oops, sorry. That didn't work. I think that mess of address *will* get you to the picture but I am more ignorant of picture sharing than of snakes & I haven't found a board like this one to explain it. Many apologies!

Here with a little help:

Very cute!

Thanks Rich. Anybody care to tell me what morph of cornsnake this little one is, other than cuteness morph?

It looks like a normal to me, but I'm not very good at hatchling morph identification. There seems to always been such variance in normals, as well. But that's my guess! :}

So mahogany saddles = classic? Thanks! :)

Yeah, I'm hoping the hateling attitude tones down with continued time & gentle handling, but it's pretty cute right now.

Yeah, I just received a new little hateling myself. First one that has even thought about striking. This little one attempted to strike me in rapid succession, through his deli lid, when I was unpacking him. Pretty adorable....I felt bad laughing at him hysterically because he seemed pretty serious about being pissed off and there I was cracking up. I feel confident that ones he settles and gets into the routine of handling and feeding and feeling secure that he will settle down. At least hoping anyway.

red/brown/orange saddles plus orange/brown/yellow ground color plus orange eyes = classic

Your little one is NOT going to look like that when she's an adult. Classics change color pretty dramatically from hatchling to adult.

Thanks Shiari, I'm looking forward to watching the transformation. It's feeding day today so we shall see if I get hit while trying to place hateling in Tupperware with the pinkie.

Well, s/he still has all the 'tude. :) Out for handling the other day, multiple bites and a poo. No new pictures -- I need to get a camera because the iPhone camera is terrible.
