I've gotten different opinions. Garter snake, black racer, rat snake. He was a big guy, but something must have attacked him cause he had a nubby little tail. He was neat though lol.

sorry if those pics were kind of huge =/

Oh yeah, I didn't take him lol. I just snapped a few pics, gave him a name and watched him slither away. Lol.
I don't have the heart to take something out of the wild :[

I go for black racer... A ton of excitment when thye get older and touch bit agressive.. Did I mention run???

Regards... Tim of T and J

Haha I've seen him around my yard for a long time,a year or two maybe, I just never was able to get this close, so I guess he is an older snake. He seemed pretty docile though, but hey what do I know? Maybe he was just excited his picture was being taken lol.

Black racer. I have one in my yard that has a stubby tail, too. They typically aren't a friendly snake. I like them, though. I love how their eyes look.

I tried to catch one once when I was fishing a couple of years ago. He bit me four or five times and kept racing thru some brush. I finally gave up and all the little kids that I was trying to show off for were disappointed. :D

I agree with Jesserca.....loving the 3rd pic....kinda looks like a grumpy old man...I'm guessing that is why you called it Oscar?
