Walter Smith

CRAZY BOUT' CORNS !!
I've read quite a bit of the other thread concerning Scaleless Corns.
I'm just curious to know, so I'm posting a poll to see the response.

It seems there is an issue with these being a Hybrid and also that they are Scaleless, some maybe not like it simply because it's a hybrid and not so much concern that it's scaleless and visa versa.

This is NOT being posted to have another long drawn out debate over if it's a hybrid or not or if the scaleless should or should not be reproduced,
it's soley about/on the appreance of the scaleless corns that are being marketed...............and now onto the poll:

Walter
:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!

I voted "like," but would not be so interested if the animal in question was a hybrid. If we're talking a pure P.g.gutatta, sign me up.

I just don't like that they are being portrayed as pure corn when they are not. I have information from a very good source as to the origination of this line. They are hybrids, and should be sold as such. I hate them cause they are being touted as corns, and not hybrids which they are.

I agree with everyone else...its the fact that their hybrids for me and not the fact that their scaless- I think that part is pretty cool:)

Um, why do we have to "hate" them in order to not have them? Is it just me, or is that kind of childish and simplistic way of dividing the options?

I don't want one, I'm not interested, but I don't hate them or think they're "abominations". I will not own one, but I don't hate them. No interest.

Emily usually people have interest or no interest for a reason. If Walter wanted to invest his time and money to start a scaleless project polling is a good way to see how people feel and why they feel this way. I don't like the idea of hybridization so I have no interest. Some think their ugly, and others don't feel morally comfortable with the scaleless trait so they have no interest. Saying what you think about something isn't childish it helps people understand the market for these guys:)

voted maybe, i don't care if its a hybrid, there all mutants one way or another anyway. im jst not sure if ied want and animal the feels funny hehe

What????

I just don't like in order to choose, "I would never have one", I have to also say that I "hate" them.

I don't know where you got the whole rest of that from.

I never said it was childish to say "how you feel about something"... I said that it seemed overly simplistic that my in order to say I would never have one, I must "hate them".

In other words, I'd like to vote, "I'd never have one" without having to vote, "I hate them." Can't somebody just not want one without hating them? There's lots of morph I will never own, but it's not because I hate them.

I think they're awesome, and would love to have them. Even if they're not pure corns, who really cares? Who can really tell if their corns are "pure" anyways? Even some of the wild caughts have the potential to be a hybrid. :shrugs:

I agree. I voted for the 3rd option because I don't hate them, but wouldn't ever own one.

I've seen one in person. Cool looking. For the most part, I don't care for hybrids. Take jungle corns for instance. Some milksnake hybrids are stunning. If I look at a particular snake and it is OMG!!!!!!!!!! beautiful, then I would buy it just for its beauty. (If I had room to spare). But I don't feel the need to have a scaleless corn hybrid. I can admire them from afar.

I totally agree. Why all the outrage over these originating from an emory x corn cross when I don't see the same hybrid hatred being applied to the creamsicles that are all over the place? Anyway, Walter said this wasn't being posted to start another debate and now I've gone and contributed to the derailing of this thread...sorry.

Sure you can not just want one,lol but for the poll it was yes, no way eww, or maybe. I don't hate them either, but I don't like the ideal of hybrid anything so I will never own one thats all hence choosing no. Saying maybe implies you may consider one day owning one.

I assume Walter was asking because he's testing the market to see if their worth breeding himself...could be wrong, but if thats the intention it would make sense to want simplistic anwsers just to get a feel for how many people are interested in purchasing one:)

Don't really care that it's a hybrid, it just seems like such a drastic mutation would have considerable tolls on the snake and the keepers pocket. Besides that there's just something "not right" about looking at them.

I'm not that into them but then again I haven't seen one or held one -does a snake that has no scales feel strange to handle? There is a little eww factor to even think about it for me LOL but I don't want to say I like or hate something I have only seen in a couple of photos so I chose maybe
