*DUW* Lake Michigan in Winter...

...looks like another continent! These pics really don't do it justice, but check it out!

The scale looks off on this one... that ledge of ice is about 10' tall, I would guess.

Ice flows...

Rocks about 4' tall, icicles like 18" or so.

Actually, almost everything is larger than in appears here... BIG piles of rocks and big HUGE mounds of snow and ice. My friend and I hiked down there (about 10 min from campus) on a whim, and we were totally amazed!

FYI, pics from iPhone... I'm pretty happy with the little camera on this thing.

I just went to Lake Michigan myself, though it was yesterday. I was really, really stunned. I couldn't tell where the beach ended, and the lake began! Then there were those huge ice piles... it was a totally different world. Great pictures. I like the icicle one.

This was the first time I've been there at this time of year... Crazy awesome!

Same here Crazy awesome... but Crazy cold, too. I could only stay out for about 5 minutes before I couldn't feel my hands anymore xD I got some good pictures, but I wish it'd been just a little bit warmer so I could get more
I still think the mountains of ice are the coolest things.
