Mr. Enigma!
Here we go. Since we have a "SODA" thread, I thought I would start a sandwhich thread.

What do you call Sandwhich subs?
1. Subs
2. Sandwhiches
3. Hoagies
4. Grinders
5. Other?

Aren't you supposed to be watching your snake lay eggs???

Subs if cold, hoagies if hot.

Po-Boy?? That's a new one to me.

Wayne
Don't po-boys have to include some sort of seafood as the main ingredient?
Nope.
Turkey po-boy.
Roast Beef po-boy.
Although, seafood po-boys are the best.
Soft-shell crab or shrimp or oyster being my favorite.
"Club (sandwich)" if you want to talk fancy,...or happen into a non-Louisiana chain franchise type place.
Sub if subway.

There is some Po'boy restaurant that opened up in the area recently, with different seafood kinds, I'm tempted to try it.

If it looks like this:

Then it's a sandwich.

If it looks like this:

Then it's a sub. :)

I love oyster po-boy's yummy. A po-boy to me is seafood, a grinder is hot, and a sub is a big freaking sandwich not on regular bread, but if on bread a sandwich. A hoagie is on a hoagie roll- not a sub roll there's a difference around my way so I guess I use all of them.

I went with grinder but I do think there is a differance: grinder= meat, lettuce...lots of lettuce vinegar and oil, sub= several kind of meat...mayo, mustard.
Now if it is poboy there is only one for me fried oyster, the best in the universe.

I have always taken them (po-boys) for granted...so I had to go read about them. They really are unique (in origin) to Louisiana. I did not know that. Based on the bread used.

I can't find a decent picture of a soft shell crab po-boy,
but here is a skrimpf po-boy (actually 1/2 of a whole skrimpf po-boy) :
