That's it. I've HAD it. I've had it with all of the "scientists" claiming how many burms, retics, boas, and cobras are invading the beautiful 'Glades. So let's have a few members of the herping community disprove their sensationalistic claims!
I've decided that for my birthday this year, I want to take a herping trip into the heart of this majestic wetland. This trip will be from June 11th to 14th, pending a few details and reservations at the Flamingo campground in Everglades National Park!
I'm looking for some fun people to accompany me on this venture. I, personally, will be attempting to requisition a nice big tent, but I won't turn down a camper or RV if someone would like to bring one! The fees for each night will be $14 total split between however many people we have. If there are between 9 and 15 people, however, that jumps up to $28 per night, again, split between however many people we have. (Whoever brings the camper stays for free.
) IF there are going to be more than 8 people, I will need to know ASAP to make sure one of the 4 group sites can be reserved for us!
If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, and something you'd feasibly be able to do, respond in this thread and send me a PM as well! Please note that there will be sharing of the camper and tents, so if you're not comfortable with that, you might want to get your own camp site.
Side note: whiners and downers will NOT be permitted on this trip. If you think Florida is too hot/humid/buggy already, and you still want to come, I don't want to hear a single complaint out of you!
