Carinata

Ever Evolving Exotics
Got one of these guys a few weeks ago from Outback Reptiles. It is an import. Ask questions because it is to complicated to talk about in one post!

He's so cool! I may have to change which snake I think is your coolest...I hope he's okay, being an import and all. has he eaten yet? I love his colors.

Neat shape, neat scales. It almost looks like a..............file?
Also looks like you're getting used to your camera.

He has eaten!
Are they supposed to look so thin?
It is the shape of the body. They are some of the earliest colubrids
Very interesting, David. I've seen these on TV, but never this up close and personal.

Yes I am getting used to m camera!

Thanks, right now he is feeding on snakes. I have a few in the freezer and I cut apropriot peices and he eats them. I also am going to be buying bulk house geckos from a local importer and freezing them. Just until he can take pinkies!

This guy looks grumpy. The pictures are great. Really interesting body shape & variation in scale shape. Thanks for sharing because I was wondering what they look like.

So just a litle update. So far he is eating pure snakes. I may try later this week to offer a chopped bowl of pinkie scented with snakes. Same method I used for my herald just with frogs!

Unfortunatly a few nights ago I found him dead. Outback is figuring something out for me. I don't know why but I don't think I will be replacing him. See another thread I will make later today.

I'm sorry, David. I just don't trust WC snakes, especially imports. You just never know what they are carrying around from their wild days.
