Olive - '09 Phantom

Jessicat

All Pied Everything
Here's the girl who brought me back into this amazing hobby. I'd been without corn snakes for about a year or so, but every once in awhile I'd brows VMS's hatchlings page. I saw this girl and just knew I had to have her.

Similarly to Oak, Olive is named after I street in Eugene which has had significant meaning to me and has had a big part in the person I am today.

This will be Olive's progression thread.

Sean's picture which hooked me.

And now, most recent shed! This is the first one I was able to take photos of right afterward. The time she shed previously I'd been in the hospital.

Kind of over exposed, but I LOVE how much her eye color sparkles in this one!

She's getting a little bigger!

Her head pattern always makes me think of a blood's even though I don't think she's even het diffused. :shrugs:

Here's a belly shot! I like how speckly its getting.

When its so bright outside I feel like the shots with my hand in them expose better.

Thanks guys! Even though she's not some "hot new special morph" I realllly love this girl. She's my pride and joy. :dancer:

Also, here's a picture of her male clutchmate. He's the pair I probably would have gotten for her if I hadn't bought Oak, my Pewter. It was between him, Oak, and a Hypo Stripe.

Anyway, this guy makes me think that maybe the diffused gene is floating around somewhere in there? They were not listed as het Bloods though, and it seems like they would have been priced accordingly if they were. :shrugs:
None of the other phantoms available right now look as light though. I remember really noticing this clutch because they were all beautiful, light, and reminded me of diffused/het diffused animals.

Here he is.

No kidding, Eddie! Ghost was my first morph, and I've always loved them, but there is just something special about phantoms. I am kind of kicking myself for not buying her clutch mate male, I bet he's a stunner by now! Ah well, I'm sure someone is very happy with him. ;)

Olive is fresh shed! I used the oportunity to take her over to my parents house and have a photo shoot in my dad's front yard. The last time I was at their house I thought, "oh man, this would be the PERFECT place for some macro snake images.."

I'm pretty happy with what I got!!
Here's the "rock and blue flowers" set..

"Autumn" shots. ;)
These were taken in my yard, but unfortunatly I had the camera on manuel and didn't make any adustments between shots, so many of them didn't turn out.
