In the paper today I read that there is a propose legisiation to register bicycles at the cost up to $10.00 for two years!!
They want us to go to Motor vehicle commission and fill out the make, model, color, year,weight and serial number for each bike. and in exchange the state will provide a license plate.Woopie!!! HELLO..just tax my not lazy butt more! AND..if you are caught """falsify"" the registration, you could face a fourth degree charge which is as much as 18 months in jail and a $10.000 fine.
Now can you see yourself eating lunch in the state pen when the ax murder sitting next to you ask .."What are YOU in for??"". Ahhh...failsafing my bicycle registration. Pfft like your not going to get you butt wooped. And some nut job bike shop LIKES the idea. Hey I don't mind if I have to register my bike for free with the police but this just just a pure lack of intelligent here by our state goverment if this gets past.

Somebody has to pay for bigger gov. They are just running out of politically correct taxes like cigarettes and alcohol so whose next. You wouldn't want them to actually curb spending. ;)
 
Yeah you’re right!! They should put a tax burden on the poor sap that has to ride his bike to work while he shoved over to the deteriorating curb by the limo that just passed.
 
Wow just wow this is crazy!I mean some people NEED to ride their bikes so they will be pushed farther in poverty.
 
That is the most stupid thing. I'm starting to not like living here. What happens if you make your own bike? I had a frankinstrein bike that I made from a bunch of bikes.

It not law ..yet but they are just know thinking here. How bout the tourist who come into town with there bikes?? Are the cops going to stop and check them out while need for a break in!!
 
When all bikes are licensed only outlaws will have unlicensed bikes!!

Next thing you know they're ganna make you start registering your shoes because you walk in them. Sounds like free America to me. Tax em good, tax em hard thats the new moto.

In our county, we call them tourist.
But I even register to fish is "our" salt waters last year which was free, FOR NOW!!!

Yeah, there was. But I think next time, instead of throwing tea into the harbor, maybe they should toss the politicians instead.

I have a ..""National saltwater Angler Registry""
Which stated on the back that states... ""Federal law require you to keep this card when fishing in designated water and to present to law enforcement officers upon request.""

My brother-in-law asks me to fill out registry to show support!
But he stated the Fed and the state want start a salt water license.
I don't really fish.
