Portland Metro Expo Picture Thread

Two warnings before I start this thread: There will be a LOT of pictures, and many of them will be of BPs.

Don't worry, this thread predominantly features corns! Seems like my two main subjects were Corns and BPs, and not a whole lot of other stuff. Ah well, I got as many pictures as my healing leg could handle!

Part 2: Ghost House Corns

I helped Jen vend her table and of course took pictures of all of her snakes!

He is now owned by Mrs. Z! This boy is awesome, I fell in love with his head pattern.

Not sure if this girl sold or not, I left about an hour before the show ended. She's pretty awesome herself!

This is another guy I fell in love with. He was the one I kept thinking, "well, if he hasn't sold by the end of the show...", and Jen was thinking, "I really won't mind if no one buys him.." so of course he was the second snake to go.

I'm sure you can see why!

And now.. for a bunch of the Normals. I love finding the natural beauty of Classics through my lens.

I don't think I ended up getting a decent full body shot of this one, but I didn't mind, because s/he was being so cute!

This was the last baby I took a picture of, and he'd been watching me the whole time. He was prepared to defend his home from the invader with the big black scary thing.

The last few of Jen's snakes are the adults.

I love the set I got of the Hypo girl.

Upper Keys male. Not sure why he turned out so yellowy orange. That's not him, more my camera.

He has the eyeliner I love!!

This girl was one of my favorites to photograph. I love her silvery background, she was simply beautiful. She also gave me a few pretty poses.

Jen's table was RIGHT next to a Ball Python breeder. I've been wanting a BP for awhile now, but I'm still holding off. I havn't found the perfect tank yet, I want to wait until Bumble Bees are in my price range, yada yada..

Anyway, THIS GIRL was right next to us and I coveted her the whole expo.

She was awesome and actually within my price range, but I wouldn't have had anywhere to put her... sad day!

Then there was this crazy thing...

I guess I'm finally starting to take a liking to Pastels. I thought these were pretty.

To the other side of us was a meal worm / cock roach breeder. That was pretty amusing!

Okay, back to the Corns for a minute. Here are some Corns from *edit* Nancy's table.
She had some very beautiful stuff!

I loved the pattern on this little one.

I'm liking the silvery background.

And now for the Okeetees!! When I came back later most of them were gone, so, looks like everybody else was as impressed as I was!

MUCH better photos than I got, Jessica! I didn't see but one Okeetee the whole time I was there, and it was a male. Besides, I'm waiting for Mr. Abbott to get back to me so I can buy one of his females....

I love the BPs, as always. Like you, I'd love a BumbleBee. Or a Blue eyed Leucy. Or, most especially, a Pied. All out of my price range, though. There was also a lovely Hogg Island boa that I wanted SO badly! Mean Z. Said we couldn't afford her. Luckily, the seller is local, so maybe he still has her. We'll check in a couple of weeks .

Here are some random Kings that I thought looked pretty cool.

I really liked the color that was starting to creep out from under his saddles.

The owners of this snake stressed that he was very rare. I can't remember what species he is, just that, "you don't normally see snakes like him."

He has a cool iridescent sheen.

This guy was a fun subject. The first picture is not the best, but I like the darkness of it.

Great expo pics! And wow thanks for taking all those great photos of my corns, too! I love those PDF. Those, and the carnivorous plants, always make me kinda want to set up a tropical rainforest- type viv, if only they didn't seem so high maintenance.
