All my eggs in one basket!

Mice! They taste so nice!
I was going to take this year off from breeding, after last year's monster egg-haul and successful hatchings seemed hard work rather than fun. However, Spring is springing and I just can't not having at least the chance for pippies. So seeing Polly in such rude health, and Little Joe looking so handsome, I decided to pair just these two bloods from very different lines to see what happens.
Polly was bred by Vinman in the Bronx, Little Joe was bred by Lexcorn in Scotland, so these two are about as far apart genetically as two bloods could be. Within 5 minutes of being introduced they were hooked up, stayed together for 15 minutes or so and left a nice healthy dollop of evidence in the tub that now smells, unmistakably, of snakey honeymoon!

I dropped the ball on this, completely forgetting to put a laybox in. So Polly laid 3 days ago or less and I've got this clutch of 15 wrinkly eggs to try to save.
They are on super-saturated perlite, with a washcloth to keep them from sitting directly in the water.
The good news is that Polly is in great health having lost very little weight and no signs of having retained any eggs.
Some of the eggs are a bit yellow and may be slugs, but I decided to give them all a chance to see what happens

Don't give up on em! I found eggs last year about 3 days after they were laid that looked quite similar to yours. All 16 hatched! After a few weeks they'll plump.

Good luck!

they look like they could be saved! slow saturation is the key! dont want to over do it too quickly and drown them! It will probably take at least 3 days before they pump back up all the way! GL!

I think I was right about the suspected slugs, because they have green patches on them this morning. Whereas the rest of the clutch is slightly better than yesterday and not going green! I've moved the 4 slugs away and will throw them tomorrow if they get any more funky than they are now.

6 eggs have made it to day 40 (estimated) looking nice and plump...with candling showing nice veins. I didn't use my big incubator for this one clutch, so the temperature hasn't been rigidly controlled, so I'll just wait and see what happens
