Our cat continues her snake finding dominance...

I switched tubs when I cleaned them over a week or so ago, not realizing I switched "Dixie", my tessera, into a slot with just enough of a gap that she could slip thru. Its normally the slot where an adult would go. Sure enough she got out. Once again tho, Sugar the snake finding calico found one. She kept looking at a box that was sitting on an old recliner in the basement. Sure enough, under the box, was Dixie. Cat gets a treat today :*)

Don't you hate it when they fit through something that they are too small to fit through?
It's always nice to recapture the escapees, here we are 3 for 3 in that department.
Congrats on finding a nice calico to assist in these matters.

Lol if you saw our basement you'd know why that statement is true ...but we recently threw out a bunch of stuff and organized it; that went a long way in not giving her so many options...

I didnt even want to post about it, for fear of jynxing myself on finding her...Dixie is a core animal for me to produce pink Tessera's in a couple years...would have sucked...badly

Congrats on finding you little escapee! Cats can be pretty good at finding lost snakes. My cats have found a few, and I wish they would help me find my most recent escapee. The dilute calicos (yes, that color is called "dilute", and technically, mine are also more dilute tortoiseshell and white in color) find but don't hurt the snakes (so far), but the back one, having had to fend for herself for quite awhile before we adopted her, snacks on any she finds. My recent escapee is an adult so I don't think she'll eat that one as easily. These were taken 2 years ago and the calicos are a bit larger now.
