Ever Evolving Exotics
Last time I check Banana's and Coral Clows weren't brown. The reason the price tags are so high is because they lay small clutches, are much less productive, take longer to raise, and were marketed right from the start. We have brown in every species. Unless you're only familiar with very few Ball morphs, you know that brown isn't the dominant color.
You may think no ones buys snakes for $40,000, but they do. People are investing that money quite often and the animals are selling.
I mean comparing Corns to Balls, is the same as comparing Leos to AFTs. Very similar care. But the marketing was done differently.
You can't slam people that spend $40,000 on a snake, because it's a goood investment as far as I'm concerned. They will make money on it, and they will produce some awesome animals. It's also a matter of taste. I love the look of Shatter Corns, but hate the look of a Peppermint. I love Axanthic type genes, and that's what attracts me to Ball Pythons. The grey and silver colors (to me) are much nicer than an albino.
