Wilma

All the snakes were so active tonight. Wilma was climbing all over her branch and leaves.

Wilma shed a couple days ago, so she was looking slick!

I like to weigh and measure my snakes after each shed, and Wilma is now 31 grams empty and just over 22 inches long. :)

Wilma just had another great shed, so it was time for weighing and measuring her. She currently weighs 51 grams and is only half an inch shy of 2 feet!

Here are some pics!

She's a great snake to photograph because she's so calm, but also because her colors always come out nicely.

"I weigh HOW much?!"

Thanks for looking! :)

I weighed and measured all the snakes this evening and Wilma was enjoying the last vestiges of Arizona sun on the patio outside.

She has just surpassed the 2-foot mark and weighs 67 grams now. She's still as calm and sweet as ever.

Look at her all grown up... Well almost. She is so beautiful.

Yep, she's coming up on a year old in just a few days. It doesn't seem like it's been that long! Are you in contact with many of the other owners from her clutch?

Umm I have just a few that keep in contact. My brother in law has her brother that looks just like her. Then there is her other amel brother that I get verbal updates but no pictures from. Which I am ok with that since I don't think he got the redcoat gene. There is a few I wish I could get update but oh well.

Oh and her birthday!!! Her momma has a batch of eggs that were due to hatch last tuesday, I aid I am going to laugh if they hatch on the 4th again.

Wilma did the cutest thing tonight. She often will be roaming in the evening, but if I walk into the room, she'll go into her nearest hide.

Well, tonight she was out and I noticed that her water bowl was low on water, so even though it would disturb her, I decided to pour some water in her bowl. Rather than quickly hiding, Wilma actually came slithering up the trickling stream (and my hand) and took a big long drink with my hand and water bottle hovering right above her. It was one of the cutest things I've ever seen her do.
