Introducing Serenity, future girlfriend of Atari.

Tavia

Elemental Exotics
She isn't here yet, waiting on one more meal at the breeder's and some decent shipping weather. Picture is courtesy of Carol Huddleston of LowBellyReptiles.

More pictures to come once she arrives here. Got quite an exciting month upcoming! Also have a sand boa pair coming and a reptile expo at the end of the month. Unfortunately I'll have to be very good at the expo, since I've already been bad the last few months.

So beautiful! I got to see one of these guys at a local reptile store once and I just love their sleek markings.

Her other two available sisters are just as pretty, though all different. Was a hard choice!

Drooooool....

Congratulations!! Coxi are SO stunning. Can't wait to see the pretty little wormies her and Atari produce someday. :D

How is the temperament of these guys and do their housing requirements differ greatly from corns?

They are known for being fast and a bit bitey. My male can live up to his racing stripes when he wants to! LOL! But he's usually pretty calm when I handle him or calms down within a few minutes. He's only bitten me once, a feeding bite that was completely my fault. They are also known for being really voracious feeders, part of the reason for the bitey rep, I suspect. Their care is quite different from corns, one reason that it took so long for me to get one. Their care is somewhat similar to Crested geckos actually, in terms of temp and humidity. After maintaining cresteds for awhile, I decided I could handle these guys. They like it cool, anything higher than 82 can be damaging to them and they like it humid, about 60 to 80 % humidity at all times. The nice thing is that if you keep your house or at least reptile room in the 70s, they don't require any additional heat. They prefer smaller meals and should be fed a little less often than a corn, since they are kept at lower temps. Despite that, they are very fast growing and usually reach maturity around 2 years old. They grow to 3 to 4 feet with females usually a bit bigger than males.

Ah, was never much of a gamer! But I did know Atari was a game console/manufacturer though not the others. Hmm, I'll have to keep that in mind.

These are the other two sisters. Again, pictures courtesy of Carol Huddleston of LowBellyReptiles.

oooooooooohhhh...shame on you!!! lol. i am holding out for the expo at the end of september...i want to see if i can find a kenyan sand boa or black kingsnake/milksnake lol.

Oh, she's gorgeous. -puts another in the want list, but for much much later.-
I'm waiting patiently for the expo as well. Vince is letting me go. lol. I want to look for a sand boa as well. Perhaps a pair. >.>

Wasatch one usually has a fair number of KSBs, from several different venders. Normals and Aneries are the most common but I saw a few Albino ones at the Repticon Expo in Utah earlier this year. Usually a pretty decent price. Had been planning to look for some myself but couldn't pass up the pair that Robbie had for sale.

I don't blame you. They are gorgeous.
I found this really gorgeous sand boa available. I think they called it a nuclear-meltdown? It's so tempting to order it, but I'm pretty much a newb with shipping and it kinda makes me uncomfortable right now. XD
So, I'll probably just patiently wait and see if there's anything that catches my eye.
