I am sure we each have our own interesting hobbies. so why don't we share them with one another

I COLLECT COMIC BOOKS PRETTY NERDY HUH! the green lantern is a 9.0 from 1965 it and the Thor are two of my favorites. :) in comic collecting the goal is to find not only the rarest but the ones in the greatest shape! even the smallest crack mark or dings count off significantly

you may submit books to cgc for grading they are graded on a value of 1-10 . non cgc books are graded: good, very good, fine, very fine, near mint, mint

We collect books of all genre. We have a lot of old 1st of 2nd editions.

We collection guns and rifles.

Non-herp related hobbies? Are there such things?

Many years ago, I used to draw, but no longer have the time. My photography takes the place of that, but that's herp related so can't post that in this thread.

Lately, I've become hooked on Dragon Cave, but that's technically herp related as well.

Therefore, my non-herp related hobby is....um....wait a minute....um....nope...don't have one. Sorry!

LOVE collecting comic books!!!! But I haven't done it in years and to restart now... IDK... too tough...

I read, collect "soundtracks", care for my ONE tarantula and two dogs, watch LOTS of Sci-Fi (Dr. Who & Fringe being my favs), and play RPG's. Want to get into R/C planes and cars... but am saying "no" to it.

One of my vices is that I'm an all-or-nothing kind of person... I fixate and then run with it... much to the chagrin of my wife. So, if I get into R/C cars again, I'll go overboard... Comics too... LOL. So "hobbies" isn't a good word in my house... :)

Mark's Spider-man collection is pretty extensive. It is complete from #20 to current plus he has #3, 12, 13, 16. He has # 13, 96 personally signed by Stan Lee. He has the annuals as well. He is missing just a few of them. So we are down to the rare ones and the most expensive.

I play with guns. I especially like .22's. These are some of my .22's, the first two rifles I built from pin to spring, out of manufactured parts and hand finished stock. Both are "Ruger 10/22's" but use no Ruger parts, everything is aftermarket on them.

1968 Browning Challenger:

Walther PPK/S in .22LR, from the French plant. This gun is a Swiss watch in terms of engineering:

And the one that started it all, my little blue P22:

These are Ruger Mark 3 pistols, which I have rebuilt to my liking. They are both rifle accurate:

And a box of 500 rounds only cost $25 bucks. I can justify guns that are so economical to shoot! I have guns in other calibers, but nothing is more fun than an afternoon of shooting .22s. If I ever have a snake you want, remember this weakness! ;)

Gotta love a Pony! Nice score, those things are worth their weight in unobtanium these days! Oh, and speaking of pricey, I'd have to suggest a German or French PPK. Actually they are all French, even the ones that say "Made in Germany." They were only test-fired there. But at the Manhurin plant in France, the guns were carefully made, all internal parts hand polished, everything is just like silk. The US ones by Smith and Wesson are fine, but not the same thing.

wow every one has some very cool hobbies ! i have a decent collection of guns inherited from my father including a ar15 para ordinance p12 and several others. as far as the comic collection wow those are some nice books and that spider-man line is bug bucks! would love to see some scans wonderwoman and emily the strange are also very cool. i missed out on a huge lot of ww books a few years back and to this day i regret it.

i also saw rc stuff posted on here i use to do that but lipos are so expensive i loved it but it wore out my bank ! very fun though! oi was into brushless boats and brushless stadium trucks

Yea, hubby talked me into selling my Smith and Wesson 686. He told me I could have his Colt Python he had at his parents house. Sight unseen kind of deal LOL He had to leave all his guns at his parents he they stationed him to England. But man I am in LOVE with this gun. So sexy and feels like heaven in my hand!

Nice that ya'll went to GUNS already... Already told my wife that I'd like one for my birthday... However, it will be the ONLY gun I own. Talk about collections that would really "sink" me...

Haven't decided what to buy, exactly, but my brother is my information source... he won't steer me wrong.

Fred, the ONE argument I would make in owning at least TWO guns is, you almost must have a pistol and a rifle! They are hardly even the same tool. And you need each in centerfire and .22, so you can get in cheap fun practice. So that's four. I guess if you have to you could stop at four.

forgot to post this i am also enjoying bowling here is a recent round i played if i picked up more spares i could prolly be around 220ish

I agree with the above statement and I am the wife :D Don't I have a very lucky husband! ;)
