With the great deal that cornsnakesforsale was offering this week, I couldn't pass up this little guy:

These are lousy photos, but I'll eventually get better ones once he settles in.

He's a little fire motley and he already seems super sweet. I like to get a new arrival's weight and length and he tolerantly allowed me to handle him without squirming away or biting.

I've decided to name him Callisto, after one of Jupiter's moons. I've always thought that I preferred 'perfect' motleys, but I actually really like his partially stripedness.

I was hoping that was your plan. They sure would make some fantastic babies especially if they prove each others possible hets.

Yeah, exactly. Amels, snows, fires, and avalanches if both of their hets prove out. But I'd even be happy with amels and fires - I love red snakes!

He is great to handle - flighty when you pull him out of his tub, but calms right down and will slowly move between my fingers.
 
I've been having some temperature-related issues with Callisto over the last few weeks, but I finally think I have it all figured out so after his last successful feeding, I finally took him out for some photos and measurements. He is such a cute and friendly little guy.

He's beautiful, I love his head too, that "bald"-ish look. The color saturation of fires makes me really admire the morph, it's amazing.
 
Callisto is definitely my smallest 2012, but he is a super sweet little guy. Here are some updated photos:
