My newest (and biggest!) corn snake, Astrid, from Gelshark. She's a very pretty girl and she wasn't even cranky when I unboxed her. She weighs 528 grams. She has a lot of fun hets to play with.

glad she wasnt too grumpy, im getting ready to get on a plane and I hope after I get off that I can have that same type of attitude.

Just don't bite anyone and I'm sure you'll be fine. Also, I had her probed and she probed female, but boy, does she have a beefy tail!

Good luck with your trip!

A) She's beautiful.
B) It's bad luck to rename a snake.
c) I could have confirmed her femaleness for you. I'll never be able to replace the images in my brain of her brother and her doing it. Which reminds me, there is a chance she's retaining sperm in there. Her and Odin did it a few times before she left here, and I know he's fertile.

Astrid just keeps getting bigger, even with being fed only one adult mouse every other week. She's close to 700 grams now, although I haven't weighed her in about a month.

That's a beautiful snake!

I don't see any sign of motley pattern in these pics. They aren't really from the best angles to see, but she looks close to completely patternless like bloodred stripe. I know motley can be variable, though.

You could really see the motley pattern when she was a baby, that bloodred gene really made it hard to tell with her being as dark as she is.

It was nice and overcast today, so Astrid got to go on a trip to the park. I kept a helper nearby so we could grab her in a hurry if need be. She was a very good model! After taking lots of photos of my flighty baby snakes, it's a relief to take pictures of a nice, calm adult.

I'm always amazed at how well a limbless animal can climb. She would have kept climbing this tree if I hadn't taken her off of it.
