Kidon, my IJ Carpet Python

ratsncorns

Bird Nerd
I cannot even begin to explain how cool this snake is. He might start an addiction to Carpet Pythons, no thanks to nwheather who got me hooked by posting all her pics of her IJ's.

I took most of my snakes outside today and Kidon got to be outside the longest. He spent most of his time around the bird feeder pole and wooden fence hunting. (Don't worry, no birds were harmed in the making of these photos)

He even tried to climb onto the neighboring tree where the birdfeeders are hanging. But he failed and fell down... ouch!

Lastly, this is my favorite picture of the day. I love it when they do this! He held this pose for about 20 minutes, waiting for some prey item to come by I'm sure.

**MIGHT** start an addiction? LOL!
Girl, you KNOW full well that you will end up with more! How can you not? Morelia are such awesome animals!
(Did you see that I caved and got another Coastal?)

I'm happy to help :)

He's looking really good!

Gorgeous! I would really like to get a carpet one day.

Same thing... would like a jaguar though, IJ Jaguar or Coastal Jaguar :D but this one is pretty good looking. She seems kind of big though, is she 6ft plus? I thought IJs were supposed to be not so small but no that big xD.

He measures in at 3.5ft right now. He is only a year and a half old. IJ's get to be around 5-6ft, so a decent sized python. They are one of the smaller carpets though. He lives in a display cage with a bunch of branches he spends most of his time on, so that takes up some space. He will grow out of it probably by next year.

Thanks Heather! And No, I didnt see you got another... LOL! You are addicted! I have been looking at another carpet but space is the issue right now. I keep looking at Nick's website though haha!

He is absolutely goregous

Love the carpets. Definitely understand the addiction.

I like the first fence pic, cool.

Thanks, everyone! :)

He's beautiful! I'm not usually a fan of pythons, but I really like him, he's not so thick bodied as others I've seen, like Ball Pythons. I might have to put these guys on the "someday" list, lol. What size viv do they need as adults?

He's only 3.5 feet? He looks SO much bigger in those pictures!
