In most aspects I agree. Most of my favorite music is from/around the 70's. I don't think the music these days is as high of quality. I don't see as many post-1990 bands having a lasting appeal, but maybe I'm just being cynical. Maybe adults were saying the same thing back in the 60's-80's about that generation of music. Guess I'll see what they're still playing 40 years from now. If it's Justin Beiber, I will lose all hope in humanity. That said, I still think there is a lot of top-notch new music out there, if one digs through the landslide of mediocrity. Maybe there is an equal amount of excellent music being produced, but it is diluted out by all the mediocrity and crap these days, making the concentration of good music appear falsely low.
