Lacy babies.

I finally figured that the only way to get photos of these girls was to do so while they were eating. The male decided he didn't want to eat with an audience, and then I ran out of batteries for the camera. :/

All photos are with flash, so these girls are quite a bit darker in person.

They all took after Vanay in the eye color department and showing that eye color is not necessarily useful for distinguishing charcoals from aneries. These kiddos do exemplify the "low contrast" that does really help separate charcoal hatchlings from anery ones though.

I was going to say, I thought they'd be darker! But it's the flash. Very pretty kids! I don't have any charcoal...

I'll try to get some non-flash pictures soon. None of them will end up like mom, of that I'm quite sure. But for their age (August babies) they're already significantly darker than their father was: Vanay at 5 months old. (link)

So I figure they're probably going to end up between Vanay and Lacy in that department.

I will try to get some good pics, but the Snake Formerly Known As Vanay gets darker and darker with each shed. He is a Beauty!
