CRAZY BOUT' CORNS !!
This is what we woke up to this morning (2-13-2014) in the mountains of northeast Alabama. We got about 5 - 6 inches, which I know don't seem like alot compared to people who live in the northern states, but for this area 5 - 6 inches rarely ever happens, so it's pretty significant for this area.

Just thought I would share some pics. It's actually very pretty !!

Yuch!! Hope I never look outside here and see a sight like that!

Nice shots Walter! Yeah... Us Ohioans have seen that story everyday for the last few months it seems. ; ). 5-6 inches here means you can still do 55mph.

LOL..........Thanks Rich.
Na, around here people don't seem to want to go above 10, it drives me nuts when I'm behind a line of um :headbang:

Here are some shots I got of the falls @ Little River Canyon not far from the house. Little River Canyon is the longest and deepest canyon east of the Mississippi River.

Whoa, it's gotta be COLD there !!!
The funny thing here was, the low was only 29 overnight. Defiantly not enough to freeze up the falls............LOL

WOW!! I tell ya, the snow as really pretty to see, but I'm sure glad we didn't get 18 inches.
With that much, I figured there would be alot more on the trees though :shrugs:

Still, nice pics !!

Me too, maybe because it was a very dry fluffy snow?

Gottcha............maybe??
I wouldn't know what kind it takes to stick to the trees. We really don't see enough of it around here ;)

It's been 3 or 4 years since the last time we got snow that actually accumilated.

It's been very odd for us this year. Normally we get a decent amount of snow, but this year it's been very temperate. We had some snow this last weekend but it was gone quickly. The rest of the ENTIRE US is getting snow, but it's been nice and sunny here, for the most part. It's like everything has gone backwards!

The one time of year I'm glad to live in California! Yikes. Pretty, yes, but I so don't miss waking up to THAT!

Our side of the water over here has been quite warm (above average for Washington).
So not used to it.
