And finally my everyday "Hobby" is Charlie Bear. He's my world. I spend all the time I can with him ensuring he leads a happy active life. He's a great wee dug :)

Yes, so many talented people with so many artistic hobbies...

Hmmm...non reptile hobbies...hmmm???

I can't really call my 3 cats a hobby. They are more like substitute kids, lol!

Not very artistic, as much as I appreciate those who are. I like to sing - but only to myself!

I have lots of varied INTERESTS that I like to discuss, whether in person or online. But that isn't REALLY a hobby. I like to read, watch TV or movies, and surf the Net. Not REALLY hobbies, either.

I know - plants! I do like gardening, trees, and other plants. It has been mostly just container gardening the last few years, but I used to have a great, raised bed garden. That is something I plan to do again. I would also like to try my hand at some indoor hydroponics when it is too hot outside to grow much of a garden. So I guess I DO have a real hobby that is not herps!

Awesome photography, Chris and TM! Just wow on some of those B&Ws!

I want Round Valley Relic on my wall! When I finally get a certain expensive corn snake paid off, I would be interested in buying a print, Chris.

I'm a writer in my free time. I mainly write fantasy, an alternate history of the world in which magical creatures are real, and examine how they could have affected history. I'm actually going to have a short story published soon, if I can find a scanner so I can send my signed contract back to my publisher. :poke:

I also play video games pretty frequently, and I really enjoy cooking all sorts of unusual/ethnic dishes. It's quite fun to be the only Caucasian in the store, trying to figure out what exactly that thing is in the packaging, and I'll try anything once.

I haven't been fishing in a while, but when I'm near water, I fish. I also keep unusual fish as pets. What can I say, they taste good AND they look good! Case in point, an angry pudgy little banjo catfish:

Gardening. I do quite a bit here at home, and I've created a garden program at my kids preschool that I run as a volunteer (got us a grant for this school year).
As a family, we love going out in our canoe and 'fishing' ...but more feeding the fish. :)

My other hobbies include being a Purple Martin landlord which led me to Air Rifles.

Shooting House Sparrows and Starlings from the Martin houses is a blast.

Becca - have you been to ECHO (http://www.echonet.org/) yet? Anyone who loves plants or gardens and who lives in or visits Ft. Myers should be sure to visit them. They sell unusual seeds and plants, give farm tours, educational seminars, and support 3rd world sustainable agriculture. Very interesting place!

Round Valley Relic prints out nicely at 11X17. Let me know...

When i'm not at work, school, or taking care of my snakes I am either hunting or fishing. I love to hunt large game and go offshore fishing although I do fish a lot in the local lakes and streams. I have been very fortunate to have the chance to hunt and fish in a few different places.

I really enjoy collecting SODA memorabilia. I used to have an extensive Coca Cola collection including alot of large vintage metal signs,
but now I've got it down to "smalls" and started collecting other brand names as well. I just love the graphics of old soda stuff, especially 7up.

I also picked up just a few beer collectibles. I got the "Walter's" stuff on a trip to Colorado. I though it was cool for the obvious.....LOL
The Dixie hardhat was actually my grandfather's, who retired from Dixie Brewery in New Orleans.
The Jax beer can is also from an old brewery in New Orleans.

Let's see, I'm rather boring. Haven't had a lot of time to make much recently but I like making chain maille and cold connection jewelry and purses. And I love to read.

Here is a cold connection (not soldered) wire necklace.

Wow. Awesome thread. I'm disappointed I didn't check this out earlier.

Chris, your photography is insanely good. Like, maybe my favorite of ALL photography, honestly. Your B&W's are so dramatic, but still so very natural. Amazing work.

Tavia, your work looks amazing as well. Jewelry is neat, but I'm not always "wow"d. Your stuff is "wow" worthy. Very original.

Chip, it's been TOO long since I've gone out shooting. I went through a long stage (after my mom's divorce) where I just gave up the interest, which was too bad. I used to target shoot with my .22 almost every day in my earlier teens, and my marksmanship was a very prideful thing for me back then - I'd always set my target much farther back than everyone else, and I was obsessive about grouping. Your .22's are giving me such an itch to get back into it again.. sadly, I don't have as great of a spot for it where I live now.

Tula, Janine, I really haven't seen your photography before. Or, at least I wasn't paying attention that it was yours. Both of you take incredible photos. Love the swan. And I love the B&W bicycles over the bridge. Muy, muy talented.

If I left anyone else out, trust me, I liked your work. This whole thread is great. Thanks for sharing.
