2014 NRBE National Reptile Breeders Expo

Okay- crisis averted, I'm going to suck it up and board the dogs. If anyone wants to meet up at the show or whenever, e-mail me for my cell number- nlevake at gmail.com

A small group will be going to Zen Bistro for dinner tomorrow night.

Well I am glade to hear they got it for next year. I still need to meet my life goal of having a table at NRBE. Doesn't matter if I make money or not just have always wanted to. Glade that dream is still alive. Maybe next year. :)

Bryan, I rep-mailed you my phone number. Text me me you get there, and I'll let you know if we're going or not. Probably will.

I made a list of things to find tomorrow including but not limited too 25w heat bulbs, orchid corn, hypo hond milk, rats big ones,a thermostat and new heat mat.

I made it out with nothing! A couple free keychains. I saw a snake hook I REALLY REALLY wanted, but it was >$100...

The La Quinta on the beach is nice. Small, decent breakfast, and as I found out too late, no pet fee or size limit! I think I'll stay here next year.

The Thai food at Zen Bistro was amazing as usual.

There were a LOT of scaleless corns- I just love them. Rich Hume had an opal blood tessera- very cool.

Sounds awesome. I went to the USARK auction. Never been. It was pretty cool. Ben seigal and timberline owner both put up $5k each for a book. It was written by some big Chondro breeder back in the day who now has brain cancer. So the money went toward his medical bill. I just love the reptile community.

I won a few things. Only living was a baby Lemon Blast Ball. My first morph ball :)

I think the cornsnake selection was VERY good. If you went there wanting to buy basic morphs, or as high as your wallet could afford, there was something for everyone- and LOTS of high-end morphs. If I'd had $1000 to spend, it would have been super difficult to narrow it down. If I'd had $4000 to spend- I'd have a palmetto! Or even a palmetto morph! Lots of tessera morphs, lots of het scaleless project-starters...Some terrazzo morphs. The cornsnake selection was nice.

Agree Nanci. Great selection this year. Now if I can just figure out what is wrong with my truck I will be back today

Well- I had a great day there again today, not counting my MOST MORTIFYING MOMENT EVER involving Bryan's sweet, adorable, well-behaved girls...

Got to pick Don's and Terri's brains about breeding and timing of males who need to "marry" multiple females (so different than I thought!!!!!) and about how Terri starts hatchlings, and how they keep their breeding males from becoming porkers. Just the best.

We saw hatching Indigo snakes!!! Right there!!

Sorry I missed Josh and Dave P and whoever else I missed.

Sorry missed you too. Saw Josh zoomin around like a kid on candy in a candy store. but I was too enveloped in breeder talk with the cornbrains to slip away. Only let myself bring home 2 new mouths to feed, an ultramel anery tess hatchling and an adult male caramel tess het hypo blood poss het amel. TPIR. Saw some nice leopard ratsnakes and parissanas (some kind of old world green ratsnakes of Elaphe) - the penful of adult Burmese mountain tortoises, I wanted to get in there and play with them in the worst way.

I saw the parissanas at two different vendors. I also saw the ultramel anery Tessera babies. I love Tessera.

The show was great, the longer I stayed the more money I spent! I was ready to leave when I made a deal I would be stupid to pass up, I walked out with a Male scaleless het hypo, with a Female Bloodred/piesided het scaleless. Daytona did me dirty =)

Did you see the adult hypo scaleless? They didn't look anything like I thought they'd look!!

Oh- we met the famous qtken2 there, also. Okay- next year, you guys. We're bringing Daytona back!!!

I almost didn't walk out with anything but I had to steal this baby from Terri :grabbit:
