Hypo (?) Motley female

MysticExotics

(formerly NWHeather)
What are your thoughts on this one? She belongs to Casey Lazik and was paired with the same Strawberry Amel het Bloodred male that sired the Fire babies I have from him.

I believe she was listed as a Hypo Motley.
Casey got her from another local guy, in trade.
She is a weird color, but maybe it's the combo of Hypo and Motley that makes her this odd color.

What do you think?
Nanci? Shiari?

She laid two clutches this year, and only two from the second clutch hatched. Both Normal males. They hatched 10/14, and just had their first shed.
Casey decided not to hang on to his 1.1 Fire babies, so I went over to pick them up, and he gave me the two Normal males from the other female.

I will get them eating, and then they will be available.

Red/orange pigmentation of the body use to get hidden under grey pigments.
Thats why you just see red in the blotches of Miami phase corns that are bred to have a solid grey pigmentation of the body. The hidden reds and orange pigments under the grey pigments in some snakes is the reason why some reverse Miamiphase snakes develop orange/red body pigmentation when they "should" be white.

In your snake the nice orange pigments are visible because the grey pigments are reduced with the hypomelanism gene. If your snake had not been hypo I think it would have more grey on the body, but not as much as a Miami phase selective bred for grey.

Grey pigments are common in many lines of cornsnakes, so it does not prove your snake is emoryi hybrid.

This one doesn't look anything like a typical Hypo Motley, (nor Crimson). The coloring is off. I strongly suspect that Shiari is correct.

The question is in relation to the adult female only, not the babies.
