These people really need to learn their trade, they had this one labeled as an "albino." I think it's a striped lavender, any verification?

I'm sure this isn't what it is, but it looks sort of like a striped amaretto. Definitely not an 'albino' with those pupils!

No, I don't think they do. But the body color reminds me of one. Anyway, I'm sure someone with some more experience will chime in.

Well, really it can be called a Albino. It has red eyes there for if you had no real knowledge of corn morphs that would be the easiest way to give it a Name or Category. It is not simply Amel witch is simply albino with no other influence.

Contrary to popular belief, you can have albinism without having red/pink eyes. All the red/pink eye "color" is, is a lack of pigment resulting in the blood vessels behind the pupil and iris reflecting red.

Technically speaking, even hypopigmentation can be argued as a "mild" form of albinism. Albnism is merely the inability to properly produce melanin, whether fully lacking the ability or mildly prroducing it (mild melanin production albinism was once called tyrosine positive albinism, but has since been medically sunk as a term).

In some species (humans, apes, some other mammals), albinos can have blue,, green, grey, and even brown eyes. Yes brown, which = melanin.....

albinism.org....home to NOAH (The National Organization for Albinism & Hypopigmentation) it's a pretty darn interesting site.

Thanks for all of the responses and compliments on the little guy/girl, with help from other members here we have figured out at least he/she is a Hypo Lavender Stripe. I will post a progression thread of the little one shortly. Again, thank you.

What I meant by that, was under petsmart guide lines. I raised Netherland Dwarfs (rabbits) and we raised both blue and red eye whites. But thank you for clarifying for all. Good info for all us back yard genetic nuts. I think it is all fun and interesting.
