Progression thread: Haze

Holy bananas! That's twice the size of my girls at of the same age! That's incredible! Super pretty too. Love this morph.

Correction: the battery for my scale must be getting old. I recalibrated and Haze's correct weight is 58 grams.

wow! My female keeper corn snake from this summer is currently 6 months old and only weighing 20 grams... I feed her two pinkies once every week.. why isnt she growing? :0

Some snakes grow faster than others. As long as she is otherwise healthy, I wouldn't worry :)

In this clutch that Haze came from, there are ones that are pushing 60 grams, although I think Haze is still the biggest, and some that are still in the mid 30 gram range, that have all been kept nearly identical, at least the ones still here with me. They just grow at their own rate.

I have a male corn snake that hatched 3 days after Haze catched that weighs 20 grams. His last feed was the first time he got 2 pinkies. Haze is just a big muscular girl I think. I use the Munson plan as a guide along with looking for the visible lump 24 hrs after a feed. When the Munson plan said she was ready for fuzzies I offered one and she took it but it just seemed too big and I went back to 2 pinks for several more feeds. I feed every 5-6 days depending on the weight of the feeders.

Her dad is my longest corn at the moment and mom is my girthiest one, so I think these babies should be pretty large, all over.
