My mom has been fostering kittens for the last several months. Kittens are always cute, and I always feel slightly tempted to adopt one, but I have resisted thus far.

However, her newest selection of kittens was just too much. She has seven different kittens right now and each one is a different color and personality, but I fell in love with this little guy. I love how he looks like a little werewolf! He has a really mellow and affectionate personality. My over exuberant dog rushed over to him and excitedly shoved his nose right in the kitten's ears, face, and butt and he was completely relaxed the whole time.

My husband and I decided to name him Kodlak.

FYI that smokey color is called fever coat, and happens when the mom or kittens had an infection early on. It's totally fine to have it, it doesn't mean the kitten is sick at all. I'm just letting you know that he's going to be an all black cat soon when he grows in his regular coat :)

I adopted 2 brother kittens in 1997 and one looked just like your little guy and the other was black. The grey one stayed grey and long haired. He was a real beauty his entire life.

Congrats on your sweet baby. I wish you many happy years together!

That is amazing. I learn something new everyday. Thanks for that info. We also foster kittens for our local shelter.
