Hey guys,

So my corn snake (prism) is about 9 months old or so, (if I had to guess)
and i've had her since march.

I've been feeding her 2 pinkies every 6 - 7 days and now she has gotten to around 33 grams. Its now a bit overdue for a upgrade in mouse size. This is what she looks like. Is she ready for normal fuzzies? If not, what?

Are you sure your scale is right? 33 grams for a 9 month old snake seems very light. About how long is she?

As far as feeding, according to the munson plan, a snake of 33 grams should be eating a single fuzzy of about 7 grams every 6 days.
 
She is about 1ft9 inches, im not sure if the scale is very accurate considering its a very small one and we had to use a basket to get her an the scale
 
Alright, tomorow is her feeding day, Im going to buy a small fuzzie and see if she takes it, if she does I plan to feed her those for maybe a few weeks (if she takes it) and then go to regular fuzzies.
 
Some snakes don't grow as quickly or as well. I just got a 2014 model snake in that weighs about the same as my early June 2015 babies (approx 45g).
But yes, I'd be bumping your snake up to fuzzies.

Your snake must be a fast grower! I have a yearling corn snake who just passed 100g
 
My girl is 38 grams and has been on fuzzies since she was 24 grams. I've had her since july. She's likely to be that old but tiny because she's been on pinkies, which in general don't have much nutritional value. My girl has grown quickly since switching to fuzzies at 24 grams. Maybe 2 to 3 grams of growth a week

I feed her her first small fuzzy today, took her a little bit to get it down but she got it all the way down. Think Im going to give her these for 4 - 6 weeks then go to regular fuzzies.
 
Snakes grow according to how much you feed them. If you keep them on fuzzies they won't jump up in size. Don't worry though, your snake will be totally fine.

Remember that in the wild snakes might not get as many opportunities to eat as they do in captivity.

As Nanci mentioned, start feeding Prism smallish fuzzies and just work your way up from there. Prism will put on the grams as she is bumped up in rodent size.

Here's the Munson plan for reference. Remember that it's just a guide. If you need to modify it that's totally fine! The Munson plan is actually somewhat of an aggressive feeding strategy, so I've linked you to a thread that discusses how to follow it with slightly different options.

Some companies label hoppers as small mice. Check the weight maybe? Hoppers should be somewhere around 8-10g.
 
May I suggest trying Rodent Pro. com, they have various sizes of mice and they have very clean looking rodents and you get value for the size of the mice you get.

PetsMart sells the "Arctic Mice" (brand of frozen mice) and they are offered in packages of Small, Medium and Large. The small are 6 to a box and typically weigh about 8 grams each. The Medium weigh in at about 13 grams each and the large are about 20 grams. I used the small and mediums in place of "Hoppers." Just start out with the small, and after a few feedings go up to the mediums.

There is also a pet store in my area, a local store not a chain, and they specialize in snakes and have all kinds of frozen rodents. I was driving out there and buying, but decided recently to just use the PetsMart mice.

Regardless of how the mice are packaged or what they are called, if you base your feedings on weight, then who cares what it's called? Right?

Obviously if you buy a box of 6 mice at PetsMart and the "Contents weigh 45 grams, then simple math tells you the mice are 7 to 8 grams each....etc...
