Congrats on the printer -- and may Santa land a post-Xmas job in your lap, pronto!
I got a nice watch for Xmas -- totally unexpected, from the boyfriend.

And a nice jewelry case -- which he got the idea for after helping me untangle a messy wad of necklaces & earrings.

My mom gave me the Rick Bayless cookbook, "Everyday Mexican" -- yum! Some colleagues gave me some nice things: Shea butter & socks for my dry feet (we talk pedicures, so it wasn't an insult!), candles, a gorgeous Indian pillow case, a shirt...altogether, nice stuff.
(The boyfriend also agreed to letting me get two hatchlings from Michelle...I was angling for more, he said no, but when I pleaded educational purposes, I got two...

Can't complain!)
My students gave me a whole variety of crap -- cookies, Payless & Starbucks gift cards, stickers & classroom award certificates, Avon perfume (without fail, I get a bottle of perfume a year, and every year, I tell them that I'm allergic to the stuff!)...it's the thought that counts, though! One girl made a bracelet for me using the colors of her country's flag (Kenya) -- so sweet & cute.

A lot of them just make cards for me -- and to each one, I give them a thank you card. They love it. And, this year I gave to them a pencil set that had each of their names embossed on the pencils...they're so funny: they love to get pencils from me, but with their own name on it? Oh, wow -- you'd think that I just gave them the Wii!

As always, it's the little things...
