When I studied for my psychology degree we ran all different sort of IQ tests on each other, WAIS, MMI and other IQ tests specifically weighted for scientists, artistic types and so on. I've got some form of edectic memory and so I always score high on tests (MENSA level) if I've had a chance to speed-read the material first, or if I've read about something and been interested in it. I don't really see it as anything special, because some of the things I'd really like to do like sing in tune or learn a musical instrument are totally beyond my reach!

Always creeps me out..

Your IQ score is 127!

You are equipped with a verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level, making you a Word Warrior. Your command of words is so powerful that you are also a terrific communicator -- able to articulate big ideas to just about anyone.

The power of words translates to fresh ideas off paper too, in both artistic and creative pursuits. This allows you to be a visionary -- to extrapolate and come up with a multitude of fresh ideas.

That was the link that Dave provided.. Thanx Dave..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Wow cool, an edectic memory? That must have been really useful for exams. :)

I can retain information pretty well, and I've got AS exams in January, so that's a pretty good thing. My friend did a test on me to see if I could remember every detail on both his parents credit cards. He asked me 5 minutes later, then an hour later, and finally 5 hours later. I got them all right the first two times, but I failed on the third, I got a couple of numbers mixed up lol.

Naa I.Q. doesn't matter at all really, an employer isn't going to care (not really anyway, could be a quality but it wouldn't decide a job) and neither is most of society lol. I just thought it'd be pretty cool to see what everyone scored. :)

Oh and who chose '151+' lol?

All the best

David

Congratulations, Chris!
Your IQ score is 135

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind.......

Always knew my momma was right; think I'll go bask in the glow of my jeenyusness

An I.Q. test determines your ability to solve problems, but not necessarily practical ones.

No, you're right, it doesn't show how creative you are. There's another test, of course it doesn't show your true creative power, but it does show which side of your brain is dominant. It's on the same website that I linked. Funnily enough, it's called The Brain Test lol.

Shoot, I had to guess on the answer about how far apart the cars were. Neither of my two ways of figuring it out were in the answers...Still- that's more or less what I expected.

You know what test I am afraid to take? Memory screening!

"Your IQ score is 127!

You have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information and this, combined with your logical mind, means you are a Visual Mathematician. You can manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution and can understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction.

Like Einstein, your ability to detect patterns and your skills in maths and logic, make it natural for you to come up with ideas and theories that simplify processes for everyone."

The visual part nails me dead on, I'm a huge visual thinker. These tests are fun!

I saw this really cool personality test once where they had a series of pictures and you had to chose the one that most appealed to you. What was really cool was how it nailed your personality dead-on. I love psychological stuff like that :D. The human brain/mind is a fascinating thing.

Nice one Nanci! There's a little button on there that gives you a free sample report, which is where all the others are getting their info' from. :)

Your mind's strengths allow you to think ahead of the game -- to imagine or anticipate what should happen next in just about any situation. Because you're equally skilled in the numerical and verbal universes of the brain, you can draw from multiple sources of information to come up with new ideas and this makes you a Visionary Philosopher.

You also have a knack for matching and anticipating patterns in all sorts of situations, a talent that adds to your visionary philosopher mind.

See, if I had to analyse myself, I'd say I sucked at numerical stuff, and excelled at verbal. I guess predicting the next step in a pattern counts as math, though.
