Snake eats four golf balls

My vet's office has a series of pics of a python with a beer bottle inside, and then shots of the operation to remove it. I can understand golfballs, since they resemble eggs, but a beer bottle?
 
I read about this on Poultry Forums all the time. People put fake glass eggs and golfballs in their nestboxes all the time, so the snake will eat them. Since its unable to digest them, they will die. Then they dont have to worry about the snake eating their eggs. Its horrible, obviously.

wouldn't they regurge? Just asking, I have no idea. Sounds bad, but I do understand the need to protect livestock.
 
Good Question. But some people have found snake skeletons with a golfball or egg in the center of them, where they starved, died and decomposed. I understand the need as well, but there are other ways to go about it. The thing that stinks is, other people kill the snakes when they find them, and they get snakes all the time. I would be in heaven if I found a snake in my nestbox, and I cant ever find any!! :shrugs:
