ALL YOUR BASE
This is Cayenne. She is an '07 from Rich Z and is Amel het Butter Stripe. This will be her progression thread.

Yeah! I have a couple of breedings planned for her already. Once they are old enough I hope to breed her to El Dorado, my GoldDust and/or to Big Red my hypo-blood. Those will make some fun babies to work with. I might try to find a stripe male with some fun hets too. She has a lot of possibilities!

I think I like the idea of playing around with hets more than I like outright buying morphs. Cool projects! I think I've seen a few pictures of Golddust stripes, and they are just simply mind blowing! Dean's Butter stripe pair made me want to go out and buy a pair right away.

Oh and btw, I didn't mention it earlier, but nice background! ;)

Thanks everyone, now if I can just get her to take her first meal with me! El Dorado and Indigo Montoya both ate first try. Next schedules feeding for these three will be Wednesday, hopefully she will have settled in and will have a good appetite. :D

She finally ate!

I slit the pinkie and put her in a larger feeding container with paper towel on the bottom so she felt more enclosed. Presto!

Well, four days after that, she ate again.

And 4 days after that she refused.

So, 4 days after that, I slit the pinkie and she ate it.

Then a day later she regurged. SO, I am in the 10 day wait till I can try again.

Poor little thing! She has a tummy ache...

That's scary. I hope she's ok. Maybe a four day schedule isn't enough time for her to digest...

Hope she improves soon Dave, she's a pretty little thing.

Thanks, I think she will be OK. Pepper has a few regurges back when she was a baby, and she is turning out fine.

With the refusal in between, she had 9 days between successful feedings, so I don't think I rushed her tummy any. I am at a loss as to why she would regurge. As I write this El Dorado and Indigo Montoya are mowing down on their pinks. I got a feeling Cayenne is just gonna be one of those snakes you have to take it slow with. After the 10 days are up I'll likely try half a pink split lengthwise.

Good luck with her!

I had to deal with a regurger last month.

It is tough when you are going it through it.

It sounds like you know what to do. Just keep us updated.

It's the refusal that made me wonder. There's no reason for that, except she wasn't ready to eat again.

Time for Cayenne's "Gustav Update"!

She got over her feeding problems and now eats almost every time like a normal corn.

A couple of motel shots:
