One of those days..

hahahahah! XD thanks MIKE XD

Marrage will always be my very last resort.. So will children lol, I'm too independent I think and i don't like commitment,
although if I'm honest keeping snakes needs commitment and I think I do alright there!

Mike is right... I was the "nice guy" when I was your age. I ended up with all the girls being "just friends." It hurt and confused me a lot. I couldn't understand why the jerks always got the girls and I always seemed to lose.

Fast forward nearly 30 years... I'm still the "nice guy." I bring my wife flowers for no good reason. In the last 10 years, I have missed bringing her morning coffee to her before she came downstairs maybe 10 times. I still open doors for her (cars included) and stand up every time she leaves the table or returns. We have a well behaved 6 year old boy who's learning to do those things too.

EVERY one of my wife's girlfriends thinks she hit the jackpot and is the luckiest woman around. Most importantly, she does too.

I win.

If this girl isn't mature enough to tell you she isn't interested, then she isn't worth your time anyways. Be better than her and just let it go. Showing that you don't care is your biggest weapon against her at this point.

I agree with this.

You're my double lol! I've always had lots of female friends but never a proper girlfriend. Yeah, it confuses me sometimes as well, because you see all the horrible, insenstive jerks getting the girls and nice people coming in second. But older people always seem to like me, and I can talk better to them than I can to younger people. A lot of girls and boys my age are really shallow too, not all of them, but a lot.

All the best

David

Hi Dave. don't forget I know you.....
You got it made when the time comes... you tick all the right boxes... as far as girls go..LOL
You and George are still young enough to play the field.. neither of you really needs a relationship to slow you down, you got your whole lives for that.
What you need to do is treat girls like they could be more than friends, if you had the time. ( naughty special friends...LOL)
Just you can't because you have a plan for your future and they may slow you down... Girls like focused strong men, who are strong enough to allow their emotions to slightly show, a small glimes of the person you really are...
Remember You are in a game and no-one has shown you the rules or how to play....
MIKE

What about all the girls that call here for you to go out... Cloe, Kirsty to name a couple...
What do you do........ Na I'm busy with my snakes at the moment, call back in a bit........
And they come back for you!
DAD

Never noticed dad, Must get from you.
Hehehe:laugh01::shrugs:

Apart from the obviously compelling hormonal aspects, surely it's better to enjoy your life instead of mooning over possible relationships in your teens:shrugs: Whether through game-playing or emotional leverage, trying to get someone to be more involved in a relationship isn't going to work out in the end.
Why use weapons against someone who's only crime is that she's not ready for a relationship? Or perhaps she really does like you as a friend but doesn't fancy you? Big deal. Do you automatically fancy and want a relationship with everyone who shows interest in you?
(And yes, I do appreciate that you may want more than just the physical closeness, George, but emotional bonding can't be faked or forced, it'll happen with the right person, right time, right circumstances)

Something you're not telling me Mike :laugh01: (yes I conveniently left out the other part of the sentence lol)

Thanks very much mate, and you too Bruce, this is a happy thread where everyone makes everyone else feel better :grin01:

Well, shes still not even come back online or anything or phoned me or arranged a meeting to tell me why, she just simply has cut herself away and expects me to think thats okay, which makes the whole thing 3x more annoying, I'm upset because she wasted my time that day! If i was her i would have said *sorry this aint working* she just hugged me and promised she'd be on msn later..

I don't know if you were referring to my previous post when you used the word "weapon," but that's probably not the word I should have used. What I meant by my statement was that the best way George can handle the situation is to just let it go. Provoking this girl will only worsen the situation for both parties and possibly even cost your friendship. In my experiences, girls are more interested in you when it looks like you're not interested in them.

Perhaps she's embarrassed and upset, George. Maybe she feels you've spoilt the friendship? Maybe if spending a day with her was such a waste of time she's made the right decision?

Sorry but I'm not going to feel one bit guilty for her, spending a whole day with her was a waste of time because in that whole day I developed a heck of a lot of feelings for her, and then she just drops a bomb on me when I walk in from a good day all happy that she just wants to stay friends, even my real friends or any other decent female would not use there friend to finish you and then completly cut off from you, she's made no attempt to apologise even through the lowest of the low.. EMAIl.. she just expects me to jump back up and expect nothing ever happend..

Girls do hurt us you know...?

I'm just trying to help you get a perspective, George. One day, you developed a lot of feelings? She hurt you really badly? You can't pour all your feelings into the start of a relationship and guarantee those feelings will be returned.
As I said, at that age, boys were just friends for me, and I'd have ran for the hills if they'd wanted more. Other boys your age feel the same way about girls. Everyone develops at their own pace, which can't be forced. You ran a similar thread after your last break-up. If you were one of my boys I'd be a lot blunter, but I will say that perhaps you need to re-think these relationships if they cause you so much hurt in so short a time. I'm really not saying this to upset you, but to try to stop you from getting hurt.
Refocus on the positive things in your life, enjoy college and meeting new people. Spending time with a person with whom it doesn't work out isn't wasting time, because it's all part of life.

A quick quote fro one of my favourite songs.......... " Girls don't like boys, girls like cars and money. And boys will laugh at girls when they're not funny"....Good Charlotte Not strictly true, but pretty damn close 50% of the time...LOL MIKE
