Sandy (my dog) and the police.

Educated Horse.
I don't know why, But for some reason she LOVES policemen.
Well, harrasing them atleast. She can be a bit of a pain whenever the local boys in blue call around (You'd be surprised how often that was around here to be honest.) EVERYTIME without fail she will home in on one of the male officers and constantly sniff and nuzzle his crotch.

The women officers she doesnt even look twice at, But without fail whenever a male officer comes she will not leave him alone. The best part is because of her size, most of them are too afraid/awkward to move her head with their hands or say anything so just turn bright red until i notice and call her away.

What worse is if they stick around past the nuzzling stages they get the licking stage. She cant help herself, anything and everyone is tasteable. Everything has a flavour and she must know what it is. Last time she did this, it resulted in a very embarrasing 5minutes of me chasing her around the house trying to get the officers gloves back.

Look at her now though, 5minutes after they leave butter wouldn't melt.

Very true, There are very few other breed's i would ever consider owning. All my dogs bar one have been GSD's.

I used to be a proud owner of a german shepherd, but unfortunately i had to have her put to sleep. She was an old girl. R.I.P. Tara

I've had a female GSD, a male golden retriever, and currently have an aging Airedale. All have been awesome dogs, with distinctly different outlooks on life. No idea what I'll get after Merlin passes away.

Maybe a skunk.

We had a German Sheperd when I was about 4/5, it had to be put down because she had a brain tumor :(...such an awesome dog. I have pictures if you want to see them. Just ask :)

German Shepherds have always been my favourite dog breed and I fully plan on owning a GSD one of these days.
What a gorgeous dog!

She's lovely! For some reason my dog (whop generally hates all strangers) also has a police-man obsession, she turns into a total tart around them!

That is pretty funny. I know most places in America the cops wouldn't appreciate a shepherd being loose and running up to them while they're doing their job. It's a way to get yourself and your dog into trouble, but I love the mental image of your dog sniffing and progressing to licking a cop.

Heres a couple of our German Sheperd, they were taken in 1984-5...I said old lol. I have more but I dont want to hog your topic to much xD

Rotties can be lovely dogs. When we got Sandy from the rescue it was a toss up between her and her 'cell-mate' which was a 5year old rottie bitch, But very small for her age (Didn't look much past a pup at first glance!) both was beautiful dogs but as soon as we took Sandy into the little room where they let you 'meet' the dogs we knew she was coming home with us!.

Phoeb - Thats a beatiful dog, Is the one in the last photo a different one though? The coat looks alot darker and the markings are different. Beautiful dogs all the same though, I wonder if i have any photos of my first ever dog Amy, My mum had her before i was born and she was the most loyal dog you could ever wish to meet.

Both the same dog, only the third one she was pretty much still a pup. As for loyal, I would say they really are loyal. Thats my brother on the pic and I dont think I have any photos without her by his side :) She was about 8 when she died.(cancer)

heres another one lol
