They say they can be "obnoxious", but like other kinds
if you handle them they get better. The few I've encountered
are pretty cool to work with.

Nice! I would love to have a _blue_ beauty. How do you like the Cali? My Cali is my very, very, very favorite of all my snakes. Although she musked me last night. But I made her do it! (We were playing the tickle Chocs till she rattles game). Can't wait to see them both in natural light!

Yay, more people are getting Beauties! That's a lovely one... except the pattern doesn't look like a beauties... I'll see for sure when better (no offence) pics come...

I started looking up different kinds of beauty snakes, then went to take a nap, then had a dream that I was at this mountain near Bankok looking for them...(I guess to my brain Taiwan and Thailand sounded close enough!)

What does it look like when they musk you? Sorry, I'm still new lol... I have a ball python and she put something all over me one time and I was just curious if 1) can a ball do that? 2) is it only males, or can females also musk, also? and 3) what does it look like?

He is a Taiwan Beauty Rat Snake.. He is 5 months old.
(8/07) per the previous owner. He is a dream to handle,
but very strong for such a young guy.

Yeah Susan he'll probably get to 7-8ft

The King was way cool too, BUT...
I recieved an E-mail from the guy I bought them from that
said he "Absolutely HAD to have the King back". So after a few hours
he came to me to p/u the King and gave me MOST of my money back.
So the "King is gone", but I got a "Beauty" for an incredible price.
(And have money for something else.. Hmmmm.. LOL)

The wife never got to see him Tim, so I'm safe for a bit longer.
 
AFAIK, everyone musks. If they feel like it. Kings and milks seem to feel like it frequently!

Here's an example of Inez's musk. Choco luckily only feels like releasing chunky (smelly) urates. So imagine this, on my PJ shirt.

But Tickel Chox Till She Rattles is so funny, it's worth it! (I'm not torturing her, I swear! If I stroke her gently along her side, in her last quarter, she'll start rattling, and will eventually rattle if I so much as touch her. I _could_ stop before she musks, but it's just so cute...)

My daughter originally wanted a Blue Beauty and I was fascinated by them myself, even though I didn't like snakes then. My niece convinced DD that a cornsnake would be a much better first snake. I'm glad she did. :)
