Well I have had to admit defeat.

The adult royal with all the burns is going to someone who can look after it better.

It’s lost way too much weight and still not feeding. I made the decision that I have done everything possible that I can do for it so it would best to pass it on to someone who can give it even more care.

I am very sad about this and it will be leaving me at 9pm, so I only have a few more hours with her.

She is going to a snake sanctuary who specialise in very sick snakes. The good thing is that one of the founders is a full practicing vet nurse.

Hopefully they can get it to good health and live in the sanctuary for the rest of its days.

Bye Bye my princess i will always miss you.

IMO I think you're doing the right thing. Some times we do all we can and when we see it's not enough, we have to seek help else where. At least you know you tried your best and thats what matters. :)

Yeah not to mention the £500 vet bill... lol
I can relate.

Best of luck to her. You shouldn't feel bad. You did a lot to get her this far along the road to recovery, and now you're handing her off to people better equipped and staffed to bring her the rest of the way. You are NOT defeated... you did your part and now it is someone else's time to help her. You should feel good about that.

You did all you could to look after her, even when it meant going against what you believed. Hope all works out for her.
