I was watching my snake today and he's always going around the glass like he's wanting to go out, and I started to think some questions:

A snake needs something to entertain himself?
snake can be happy or sad?

I know they are dumb questions but I felt that my snake was saying: where am I ? I want to go out haha
 
lol, Y think my viv is pretty locked up... we'll see when he escapes haha, You don't have an idea how Happy I'm with the little guy, I can watch him all day long just wandering from hide to hide and climbing hahaha, but still I want him to be happy...
 
Hey my cali king ate last night finally too. Didn't you say you recently got yours to eat?


If you want to entertain it, throw in some piles of crumpled up paper or those cardboard toilet paper rolls.
 
I've wondered about this too, FinFang often tries to push the glass of his viv, as if he might get through if he tries hard enough.

I think it's just their nature to want to roam, maybe find a better hiding spot or hunt some food. Who can say. But I know he is more comfortable than he would be in the wild. Take comfort in the fact they have *really* tiny brains, and probably don't have a range of emotion beyond "I'm hungry" or "I'm cold".

(mind you, that never stopped me from grafting personalities onto them, like I use to with my my little ponys as a kid. Amel boy is the sarcastic emo one, FinFang is kind of dumb but enthusiastic).
