Runny poop, Is something wrong?

I got this little thing saying things to watch out for
blah blah blah...
RUNNY POOP
blah blah...

I was wondering if runny poop is really bad and if theres something I can do to fix that and also what the problem might be?

Thank you very much

i think generally when it comes out it is wet and runny. cause i know when i got pooped on it sure was runny! but when i find it dried out in the viv it is not runny at all. so i can't really help you with this one, other than assure you that when it initially comes out, it is runny.

i took my runny poo to the vet to check for worms and the vet never told me that it was bad, so im guessing its suppose to be runny

Basically, you should have solid brown clumps that are the faeces, and they will be relatively stringy as they contain the indigestible matter such as fur. When they are initially excreted it'll appear relatively 'slimy' and there will be white urates surrounding and/or near to the faeces. When it dries, there will be a white chalky residue (the urates) and the solid brown matter that is the poo.

There shouldn't be any jelly-like or viscous fluid, and there shouldn't be any presence of blood or green matter. If this is the case I'd get a fecal done by a vet.

All the best

David

WooHoo! Even if there wasn't anything wrong with it, then it was still good that you take it to the vet. It's better to be safe then sorry.

Roy Munson, this is what I mean, by when it doubt, see a vet.

honestly there wasnt anything to worry about and i wasnt really to worried its just i dont like the idea of worms my dogs had them and they can do some serious damage....but yes i was bein safe rather then sorry

I've had pets die on me when I thought that there was nothing wrong with them, and they were actually showing symptoms. That's why I say take it to a vet, much to Dean's Disliking.

Ok thx very much I have to wait till next week to take it to the vet but I will for sure

THX alot guys

Cool. I have heard that it may be a good idea anyway for young corns to have poo samples taken to the vet after you buy them for anylisis, even if nothing seems wrong. It would be a good idea for really important snakes.
